s we age, it can be tempting to slow down and take it easy, but staying active is crucial to maintaining our physical, mental, and emotional health.
Exercise and physical activity can help seniors maintain their independence, improve their balance and flexibility, and reduce the risk of falls and other injuries.
But staying active is not just about physical health – it can also help seniors feel more connected to their communities and give them a sense of purpose and fulfillment.
So if you’re a senior, don’t let age be an excuse to sit on the sidelines. Get out there, stay active, and enjoy all that life has to offer!

Who is funding the project?
Let’s Get Active is funded through the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP), Government of Canada. BAW members and others can register up to a total of 40 participants.
Who can participate?
Participants can be seniors (30 spaces) and non-seniors (10 spaces) who will pre-register ASAP to attend 8 activity sessions to be held at various locations, 9:30 – 2:30 pm primarily on the last Saturday of each month ( April-December 2023)
