Barbados Association of Winnipeg

Our Constitution

-To promote and develop a sense of unity and community spirit among Barbadians, Caribbean-Canadians and all other ethnic groups in Canada.

-To assist Barbadians, Caribbean-Canadians and all other ethnic groups who find themselves in difficulty.

-To provide an informational resource base to which newly arrived Barbadians and Caribbean-Canadians may be referred for support in adjusting to the social environment.

-To assist Barbadians, Caribbean-Canadians and other ethnic groups in understanding the legal, moral, educational and social rights and obligations of persons residing in Canada.

-To educate Barbadians, Caribbean-Canadians and other ethnic groups about Barbadian achievements and encourage all young Canadians in the development of their full potential.

-To educate ourselves and the community about Barbadian customs and culture.

-To foster amicable relations between the countries of Barbados and Canada.

-To co-operate with, educate, and provide support to, all youths within the Canadian mosaic.

-To encourage Canadians of all backgrounds and origins to participate fully in the activities of the Association.
